Angie Kent is the first to admit 2020 has been a tough year – what with her very public break up from Bachelorette beau Carlin Sterritt and undergoing an operation for endometriosis.

The 31-year-old previously told fans she was on the road to recovery following her devastating breakup, but on Monday she admitted there’s still more healing to do.
Taking to Instagram, Angie shared an emotional yet upbeat message with fans, in which she spoke about overcoming adversity and how the year provided surprising lessons.
“Pre-Christmas Instagram game was strong ….VS post-Christmas comedown reality,” Angie captioned a fresh-faced selfie in a swimming pool.
“Swollen, unfiltered, absolute hormonal pigment flare up all over my face and extremely fragile knowing another Christmas has gone and I’ve got to sort my s**t out for 2021 and let go of a lot of pain and embrace the lessons….but SO grateful for a lot of growth that came from 2020 and WAY more to come for 2021,” she continued.
“It’s ok to not be ok. Nothing lasts forever, good or bad. So soak it all up, grow through what ya go through and embrace the shift!
“Merry Christmas Y’all! Here’s to an amazing NYE and 2021!” she added.
Angie’s heartfelt reflection came after the 31-year-old addressed the rumours about her and Carlin’s breakup on the Kyle and Jackie O show.
Speaking to the radio hosts on their breakfast show, Angie confessed that despite falling head over heels for Carlin, their differences became all too clear after filming wrapped.
“We were so smitten with each other on the show but we were so different out of the show,” Angie said.
“I was always myself but he got to see full throttle and I was stressed after the show too. He was very religious, he had these ideas that I should be this certain way when I wasn’t and I don’t want to be with somebody that wants me to change – I want somebody to love me for me.”
The former Bachelorette added that despite his Christian faith, Carlin never pressured her to do the same with him.
“He never wanted me to go to church – we spoke about it and whatnot. Each to their own, if you want to go to church, you do you, I do my moon rituals, everybody’s got their thing.”
Angie, who revealed in August she had successfully undergone key-hole surgery for endometriosis, previously dropped some cryptic reasons as to why she and Carlin called it quits.
In a statement to the Daily Telegraph in July, the reality star confessed: “Chemistry doesn’t always equal compatibility. We gave it our all and it didn’t work out.”
“Our values didn’t align. Both Carlin and I will never give personal details. Out of respect for Carlin I will not reveal the personal workings of our relationship,” she said.
