Reality TV has an abysmal success rate when it comes to couples who actually find love—and stay together. Despite tuning in for gripping drama, explosive reveals and, er, complicated personalities, we really just want to see people find The One, right?
Fortunately, there have been some “successful” couples emerge from the annals of Australian reality television. From The Bachelor, Married At First Sight, Survivor and beyond, some couples have defied the odds to build beautiful lives together. Below, some of our favourite Australian reality TV couples who managed to stay together, long after the cameras turned off.
Australian reality TV couples who are still together

Tim and Anna
The Bachelor
Anna Heinrich, 38, and Tim Robards, 42, certainly set the bar high when they hit things off on the debut season of The Bachelor in 2013. Their love story is one for the ages, with a 2017 engagement, followed by a swoon-worthy Italian wedding a year later. Since then, the couple have gone on to welcome two daughters: Elle, 4, and Ruby, 1. “It’s crazy to think about where we started and where we are now, but one thing that’s remained constant is the fact that life is just better with [Tim],” Heinrich has said.

Sam and Snezana
The Bachelor
When personal trainer Sam Wood chose Snezana Markoski on the finale of The Bachelor in 2015, hearts around the country exploded. Markoski, 44, and her daughter, Eve, relocated across the country to be with Wood, also 44, in Melbourne, which proved to be a good move – the pair went on to marry in 2018 and welcome three more daughters: Willow, 7, Charlie, 5, and Harper, 2. “I’ve just got this house full of girls, nothing is gonna change,” Wood has said. “But you know what? It’s such a nice place to come home.”

Martha and Michael
Married At First Sight
Starting off as strangers, it was anyone’s guess what would happen when Michael Brunelli and Martha Kalifatidis were matched on Season 6 of Married at First Sight. Yet the couple have gone on to be one of the series’ most enduring pairs, getting engaged in 2021 and welcoming son Lucius in February 2023. “No matter what happened, in this lifetime we were going to meet and be together,” Kalifatidis has said.

Matty J and Laura
The Bachelor
Matthew Johnson had his second shot at TV love when he met Laura Byrne on The Bachelor in 2017. They’ve gone on to welcome two daughters and finally wed in a lavish ceremony in 2022. In 2025, they announced they were expecting their third child.

Jimmy and Holly
The Bachelor
Pilot Jimmy Nicholson’s heart was flying high when he fell in love with Holly Kingston on the 2021 season. They tied the knot in 2023 and welcomed a baby boy, Lennox, last December.

Cam and Jules
Married At First Sight
Cam Merchant and Jules Robinson went on to marry – for real! – in late 2019, a year after filming season six of MAFS Australia. Two sons, Oliver, 4, and 7-month-old Carter have completed their family.

Samantha and Mark
Survivor
It wasn’t a show designed for love, but Samantha Gash and Mark Wales couldn’t deny it after meeting on Survivor in 2017. A son, Harry, came in 2018 and they wed the following year.

Irena and Locky
The Bachelor
Locky Gilbert and Irena Srbinovska found their forever on The Bachelor in 2020, going on to tie the knot in 2023. And after two heartbreaking miscarriages, the pair welcomed their daughter, Ava, in February last year.

Mary and Conor
Bachelor In Paradise
Falling in love in 2020, Mary Viturino and Conor Canning have gone full steam ahead ever since. They now share four daughters – the oldest
from Mary’s previous relationship.

Rachel Finch and Michael Miziner
Dancing With The Stars
You may have forgotten former Miss Universe Australia Rachael Finch competed on Dancing With The Stars in 2010. However, in a rather adorable turn of events, Finch met and fell in love with her professional dancing partner, Michael Miziner, on the show. The couple married in 2013, and have two children, Violet and Dominic.
