Matt Zukowski became the second star to be evicted from the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! jungle on Wednesday night, following Rachel Hunter (and Deni Hines, who willingly left last week).
Matt’s eviction came after he went head-to-head against Dyson Heppell and Luke Bateman in a mini-trial.
Throughout his time on the show, Matt, who was in the jungle supporting R U OK, spoke about his mental health struggles and following his eviction, he told WHO that the biggest challenge he faced was the “stillness” of camp.
The former Love Island star explained that being forced to slow down without a phone or a busy schedule was one of the trickiest things for him.
“That was probably my biggest challenge in there,” he said. “It was lucky that I had so many great people around me that I could bounce off.”
“And I think that like, you know, Gary [Sweet], George [Calombaris], Dyson, Luke, all those sort of people were great. Nathan [Valvo], excellent.
“Nathan was great at that because the stillness of it is something that I was not ready for.”

He added, “I mean, it sounds ideal saying it now. I get it, and I understand why people would be like, ‘Oh, that sounds so peaceful.’
“But for people when they’re in their own head the whole day, it is, it is quite a struggle.”
Julia Morris, who co-hosts the show alongside Robert Irwin, agreed with Matt’s comments about the major challenge that viewers don’t see.
She previously told WHO, “I don’t think there’s a way to prepared for the stillness. Anyone who’s trying to keep their celebrity [status] afloat wants to make each opportunity work… but you also don’t necessarily know yourself at your most vulnerable.”
Matt Zuckowski reveals he’s ‘grateful’ viewers saw who he really is
Last week on the show, there was a heartwarming moment when the contestants spoke about what Matt and Rachel meant to them before the first elimination challenge.
Former MAFS star, Cyrell Paule, said: “Matt, when I met you, all I knew were the things I read about you, and you know what? I’m so glad I got to meet the real deal and see how wrong the papers and the articles are about a person.
“And I gotta tell you that, honestly, you’re a good bloke and you really should be proud of yourself. I want to share that with you, dude.”
The pair were left in tears in the moment, with Matt telling WHO that her words really stood out to him.
“What she said about how she had a perspective of me from online… that just, definitely brought up emotions because that’s been a big struggle for me over the last year that people have had this narrative or this perspective of me.”
“I was grateful that she and a lot of other people have seen the real side of me and who I really am.”
