Following the success of the first season in early 2023, The Bachelors is returning for a second instalment this year, with 24 new contestants ready to begin their quest for true love.
Joining the hopeful hearts in The Bachelors mansion is Bachelor Ben Waddell, who alongside fellow Bachelors Luke Bateman and Wesley Senna Cortes, is ready to embark on his journey to discover ‘The One.’

“I feel I have a lot of love to give, but I have a busy lifestyle, which sometimes can prohibit me from being out and about to meet someone naturally,” Ben told WHO of his dating life.
Although he may have spent over a decade jet-setting across the globe as a model, Ben believes that he has more to offer than just his good looks, with the 36-year-old also forging a successful career as an environmental sustainability entrepreneur.
After spending 12 years living and working in New York City, Ben decided to make the move back to his hometown of Melbourne to set up roots and begin his search for love.
Having previously been head over heels, Ben tells WHO that he hopes his time on The Bachelors will help him rediscover the butterflies and joy of being in love again.
“It’s the best feeling in the world and it’s currently what I’m looking for again. I haven’t been in many relationships, but when I am, I’m all in.”
When asked what he’s after in his perfect partner, Ben tells WHO that he’s on the lookout for “the ultimate plus-one.”
“Someone I can confidently take anywhere, anytime under any circumstance, whether it be with friends or family or strangers. Someone who lights up the room when they smile.”
Reflecting on his relationship experience, Ben shared that he believes the primary issue in his search for love has been timing.
“Mentally, two people need to be in the same frame of mind at the same time and open to committing to a relationship. Sometimes I’ve been ready to commit to a girl and she hasn’t, and sometimes it’s been the other way around. Not being open to being in a relationship at any point in time can be for any number of reasons.”
Looking towards the future, Ben’s goal is to find his soulmate and create a life filled with love and a whole lot of travel. Ben also hopes to get married and become a father, while also allowing himself to be more open and vulnerable with his emotions.
