EXCLUSIVE: The Block fans call this move ‘cheating’, but Courtney and Sev say it happens all the time

Courtney and Sev told WHO about how much contestants would lie to their faces.

This season of The Block 2026 – like usual – has had its fair share of cheating allegations thrown around.

From the constant claims that contestants Courtney and Sev are receiving special treatment to raised eyebrows over after-hours work and extra tradies on site, fans have not been holding back when it comes to calling out unfair or preferential treatment.

During Kitchen Week, the suspicious behaviour seemed to reach its peak as multiple contestants were caught snooping around the other teams’ houses.

Speaking to WHO, Courtney and Sev from House Four exposed Tayla and Adam as the “biggest offenders” when it came to having a ‘sticky beak’ behind peoples’ backs.

“Courtney and I are the only ones that aren’t sort of bouncing around house to house, seeing the competition,” they told WHO. “It’s sort of turned out that everyone was having a little snoop.”

Fans divided over snooping behaviour: ‘They’re all a pack of hypocrites’

This was front and centre this week, with fans outraged by how easily both Tayla and Adam lied about committing the act.

“If there’s one thing I can’t stand, it’s a brazen liar,” one fan wrote online. “No, make that 2 things – a sneak is just as bad.”

“How’s Adam’s form – he dobs Tayla in for going into others’ houses, but he can steal from them,” another commented. “Jolene goes off about Tayla being in her house, but she would have gone into Wyatt & Chantel’s house if Lisa had told her. They’re all a pack of hypocrites.”

“Lisa runs around and spies on House Two, see what their kitchen is like. She has a laugh with Jolene,” a third chimed in. “Tayla does the sneak around and they bag her — that’s a bit rich. This show is getting so childish.”

Inside Courtney and Sev’s plan to stop Adam’s snooping

Once Courtney and Sev caught on to all the snooping, Courtney had a hilarious idea: ‘Adam Free Zone’ posters outside everyone’s houses.

“On Sunday night, after we did the judging, I was sitting with Rosco,” Courtney told WHO. “And I just said, ‘Adam, he’s snooping. He’s always lurking in everyone’s houses, that bugger. So, I think I need to get some boarding up’, and Rosco goes, ‘Yeah, that’s a great idea.’

“We’re all feeling it. We’re all talking about it.”

Courtney also pointed out that this snooping has been happening for much longer than audiences have seen.

“It’s not being shown in the previous weeks, just how much,” Courtney said. “It was literally from week one, [Adam’s been] snooping in everyone’s homes. So we just thought, stuff it.

“I got some boarding made. Sev made the posters up for me and got those sorted out, and then we had Protective Group come in and board up the house. All of it. We need a safety zone from our snooping little mate because he’s just always coming up with reasons to be in people’s homes.”

However, despite their best efforts, Adam “managed to breach” everyone’s houses and became well aware that everyone knew about his snooping.

“He’s so cheeky, and he is very, very smart,” Courtney said. “But I think he got the idea of what we were putting down. It became very obvious to him that everyone’s talking about it and everyone knows it. So if you want to sneak into a house, mate, you might need to be a little more sneakier.”

Courtney and Sev don’t think snooping is a ‘form of cheating’

Despite what fans believe, Courtney and Sev don’t think everyone’s snooping is “a form of cheating”.

“Not at all,” Courtney said. “I think it was more just a mutual decision. And if you want to go into someone’s house, you [can just] call out for them or whatever else. It was just a bit of a thing that was an unspoken rule.

“I think the main reason [people would snoop] was to either pinch something if you needed a tool or whatever, or it was to see how your room was stacking up against the others. Just suss out the competition if you don’t feel too confident. So I wouldn’t call it cheating.

Sev added: “It’s just a bit of fun. It’s a bit of flattery. Everyone, clearly, was on their toes and wanted to see what was happening next door.

“We didn’t get offended by it. We just found it hilarious with some of the excuses Adam would come up with. We’d be like, ‘Are you joking? Are you trying to pull the wool over our eyes?’ Like, we’re not going to fall for that, mate. So, a smiling assassin.”
