MAFS bride Gia just answered a very important question about the chaotic dinner parties

And it's pretty shocking, tbh.

MAFS bride Gia broke her silence about her behaviour on MAFS 2026 on Thursday morning, February 19. Later that evening, Brook also issued an apology on Instagram and fans are not taking it well, calling her out for being inauthentic, particularly after footage from Stan’s After the Dinner Party also aired on February 18.

Following Wednesday night’s explosive dinner, everyone is in need of an explanation…and some accountability.

On the morning of February 19, Gia spoke to The Fox’s Fifi, Fev & Nick about what really happened behind-the-scenes as tensions erupted on the show.

While she admits that she’s “not proud of [her] behaviour,” Gia has committed to defending Brook, saying she’s a “beautiful person” and that the one-sided edit of the show doesn’t give viewers the full picture about the manipulation and external tension at play, she’s also answered a burning fan questions about alcohol service at the dinner parties and just how inebriated the cast are allowed to become.

Is there a drink limit at the MAFS dinner parties?

According to Gia, Brook was “three champagne bottles deep”, “rolling her eyes”, “fired up”, and “drunk as” after driving around for hours waiting for her dramatic entrance to the dinner party.

“I believe that she shouldn’t have been put on air,” said Gia. “People ask if there’s a drink limit… There wasn’t at all.”

Gia’s claim of an open bar is in stark contrast to what has previously been said about the dinner parties, with season 10 bride Alyssa Barmonde telling Yahoo Lifestyle in 2024 that the show’s producers “really monitor your alcohol content” at the dinner parties.

“If you’re too drunk, they can’t use your footage,” Barmonde said. “So if you’re slurring your words and you’re really messy, they can’t use that footage.”

It seems that the rule went right out the window during Wednesday night’s dinner party, with several of the cast displaying various levels of intoxication.

However, while fans can agree that too much alcohol would have escalated the behaviour, they also won’t accept it as a valid excuse.

“Being drunk only reveals what is hidden inside,” one user said. “Not a good excuse.”

Another excuse fans are not buying? bad editing.

Gia claimed that she and Brook were told to “bring it”, by the producers and if she “didn’t ‘bring it’ there was going to be issues.”

While this certainly raises questions for Channel Nine, especially as fans are swearing off the show after witnessing this behaviour, people are also questioning how much actions can truly be “manipulated.”

“As far as her behaviour at the dinner party, she doesn’t explain any of it, only excuses it to alcohol and being egged on by others,” one fan commented. “What about every other occasion of the same behaviour? And what about every other cast member this year and the previous 12 years who didn’t behave like that in the exact same environment?”

The truth can only be stretched so far, and when it comes to Brook’s behaviour on Wednesday night (and the episodes prior), fans are finally seeing some true colours revealed.

Gia has stopped watching MAFS

While Gia didn’t watch the chaotic episode on Wednesday night, she told WHO how “frustrating” and “hard” it is to watch everything being portrayed.

Speaking to The Fox’s Fifi, Fev & Nick about how hard the experience has been, she revealed she now relies on her friends to tell her what happens in the episodes.

“They said it was really bad,” she said. “It’s just been so difficult for me because there were a lot of things that went on in production that – for me and Brook – was why we were acting as bad as we were.”

Gia claims that her and Brook were “production puppets” who did what they were told to stir the pot.

“We took it up a notch that dinner party,” she said. “I’m really not proud of my behaviour.”

Gia takes some accountability

However, while Gia stresses the biased nature of the final edits, she still admits on The Fox’s Fifi, Fev & Nick that her behaviour was “horrible.”

“There’s always edits, but Brook and I were horrible.” We’re glad she’s able to cop it.

While Brook’s apology post released on February 19 also looked like Brook was taking full responsibility, this was not her first approach.

On Stan’s After the Dinner Party, Alissa revealed that Brook’s initial apology text was inauthentic and showed her taking “zero accountability.”

On the surface it looks like Gia and Brook are able to cop it, but deep down, is it all really just another cop-out?

Gia spoke to WHO, saying she thinks “everyone was just the worst version of themselves honestly on the show.”

Despite it all, Gia remains a true ally to Brook, reinforcing that “she’s a beautiful person” this morning to Fifi, Fev & Nick.

“Brook was beautiful in the beginning, everyone loved Brook, but there was a point in time where Brook was over the things that were happening behind-the-scenes and she snapped, and as her friend, I went along with it.”
