Ever since MasterChef first kicked off in 2009, there have been some incredible celebrity guest judges, but the calibre of guests has only increased over time.
Celebrity chefs like Jamie Oliver, Nigella Lawson, Maggie Beer and Gordon Ramsay have been on the show many times, but there have also been certified ‘stars’ on the show as well.
Fans will recall that Katy Perry, whose song ‘Hot N Cold’ was the show’s theme song for many years, appeared in the 2020 season.
This year, Meghan Markle, Robert Irwin, Jimmy Barnes and more are gracing our screens.
To get huge names like these on the show must take a pretty penny, right?
How much do celebrity guests get paid on MasterChef Australia?

Sky News reports that Meghan was paid a whopping $380,000 for one day of filming this year, which would have been huge were it true.
The eye-watering sum is far greater than the $100,000 Katy Perry was reportedly paid for her appearance.
However, Network 10 confirmed that Meghan wasn’t actually paid a cent to appear on the show!
She didn’t even use her time on-screen to promote her lifestyle brand, As Ever, instead simply choosing to spend the day with judges Poh Ling Yeow, Sofia Levin, and Jean-Christophe Novelli.
PR expert Kayley Cornelius told OLGB that the appearance was a smart decision and allowed Meghan “to trial this next phase slightly outside of the intense scrutiny she faces in the US and UK”.

While we don’t know exactly what Robert Irwin was paid for his time on the show, the young Wildlife Warrior is a huge global name, especially after winning Dancing With the Stars in the US last year.
New Idea reported that for his hosting stint on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! the Aussie star was paid around $3 million, a huge pay rise from his reported $430,000 salary the year prior, according to Daily Mail.
Yahoo Lifestyle reported in 2024 that Robert earned a whopping $200,000 for a Twisties advertisement.
With these figures in mind, it would make sense that he commanded a decent fee for his MasterChef Australia appearance.
It certainly is a good time to be Robert Irwin!
