We all knew the black tie dinner on Farmer Wants A Wife would bring drama, and boy, did it deliver! From Ally’s shock return to a not-so-secret kiss, it’s safe to say heads were turned, eyes widened, and tears were shed.
As Scarlett and Keeley confronted Dylan and Ally about their passionate makeout session, Yvonne — who initially went into the night “really confident” — was in desperate need of a heart-to-heart with Farmer Jarrad amid all the chaos in the room.
From the moment she and Brodie arrived, the farmer only seemed to have eyes for Brodie, with Yvonne joking to WHO that she wondered whether it was her revealing dress that meant “he couldn’t look [her] in the eyes”.
After Brodie asked Jarrad which lady he’d kissed the most (and Jarrad named Brodie), the cameras cut to Yvonne looking hurt and storming out.
However, Yvonne revealed that this wasn’t how the moment actually played out, and that something else entirely that “set [her] off.”
Those sneaky editors!
Yvonne wanted Jarrad to be more like Zac
Yvonne told WHO she had a feeling production would twist the reason she stormed out of the black tie dinner as soon as she did it.
“I think after that [kissing] question, I was like, ‘Oh, I know exactly how they’re going to play this’,” she confessed. “The question about the kissing wasn’t the last question, and that wasn’t the one that set me off.
“What set me off was that I came into that evening hoping for a bit more honesty, a bit more openness, and he just wasn’t opening up. All his answers were very diplomatic.”
She remembered hearing Farmer Zac behind them “being really open and honest with his girls” and feeling envious that Jarrad couldn’t do the same with her.
“I remember at the farm fair, I had told him to be honest, even if it hurts,” Yvonne said. “I think that just really got to me.
“But in regard to the kissing , that one got to me as well… I don’t understand how that would have happened, that they were kissing more, because he and I spent a lot of time off camera in the house, you know, getting kisses throughout.”
So, while it still isn’t the best news in the world to hear that the man you like has been kissing another girl more than you, it took much more than this simple question to send Yvonne spiralling.

‘I don’t think he was being as empathetic as he could have been’
Even after Jarrad chased Yvonne to the harbour front, she confessed that he still didn’t give her the reassurance she needed.
“In that moment, I don’t think he was being as empathetic as he could have been,” she confessed. “I don’t think he ever realised what us ladies really went through.
“And I know all of us try to be our best selves in front of the camera, so I think that’s what he was trying to do there, but I would have much more appreciated him just having a really constructive conversation with me.”
Yvonne added: “Maybe it was difficult because I was so upset, but I just felt like he wasn’t even trying to say the right thing. It was just really difficult.”
