This season of Farmer Wants A Wife has received its fair share of criticism for focusing on the drama – *ahem, Miranda* – rather than actual romance. But the chaos didn’t stop once she left; a steady stream of shocking exits and ultimatums has kept fans hooked and complaining ever since.
On Monday night, Ally fled Farmer Dylan’s property after hearing about his make-out session with intruder Keeley. After taking some time to think, the rodeo star chased after his potential match, meeting her in town and begging her to come home.
It was this whole saga that seemed to confirm what fans have suspected all season: that the show is scripted.
“The producers are creating drama on purpose,” one fan complained. “This show has gone downhill, and now it’s like all the other scripted shows.”
“This seems super set up by producers, tbh,” another fan agreed. “The fact they had a crew with her while she was waiting for Dylan!”
Given that Farmer Dylan was throwing out lines like “I don’t want you to leave” and “our connection is different, and I don’t want to lose it”, you can likely see why viewers thought that producers were feeding the rodeo star things to say.
However, in an exclusive chat with the farmer, he revealed that both he and Ally were certainly not “acting” or given lines – much to his disappointment!
Dylan thinks he could’ve come across as ‘smarter’ if it were scripted
Dylan assures WHO that “it is not scripted”, giving a sad reason why he wishes that it actually was engineered more by the producers.
“I can tell you that I reckon if it was scripted, I bet I would have said a lot better things,” he said. “I would have said better stuff than I did on there.”
Since the show started airing, Dylan has copped a lot of criticism for the way he speaks, and in case you had any doubts, rest assured he’s seen your comments. Instead of getting down about the feedback, he’s leaned into it, posting videos online about learning ‘how to talk betterer.’

“I know a lot of people keep saying I’m drunk all the time,” Dylan added. “It’s like, ‘no, that’s just how I talk!'”
“I think if it were scripted, it probably would have painted me as a bit of a smarter fella,” he quipped.
Awww, let the poor guy be, guys!
After all, the right lady – whoever she is – will be “head over boots” for Dylan, regardless of whether he “talks betterer” or not!
